how freaking adorable are these Charlotte Olympia lace and satin ankle boots?! even if i could spend $1,160 on them,
they're sold out in nearly every size! :'(

soo cute!! :D

aaaaagh!!images from netaporter.com.

it's been pretty damn hot here during the day lately.
all the more reason to wear short skirts! :p
i'm wearing one of my favorite pairs of shoes. i've had them for almost eleven years!!

culture craze shirt, unknown skirt, sock dreams socks, dr. martens mary janes.

i really love these smoky, amethyst-tinted glasses. they were my mother’s in the 70’s.
i also adore this purple ombré dress. i love that it has both feminine and distressed details.
it's also comfortable and not too heavy, which is great for this disgusting summer weather.
in addition to being extremely hot, it's also been very rainy here lately. hooray for boots!

i hope everyone’s having a lovely day!
xx M

ruffles, eyelets, hearts, lace, pink…this is what i wore to celebrate the frivolity of valentine’s day. well, at least during part of the day. my night was spent spreading drywall mud on ceilings. how romantic! i really don’t care though, because i can’t wait to have my house finished.
valentine’s day has always typically sucked for me. not because i was alone, but because every boyfriends i've ever had was immensely obtuse in the ways of romanticism..or appreciation of any kind, in general (i know...males! bah!). i find it much more enjoyable if i consider valentine’s day as a day dedicated to loving & appreciating yourself..which you should do every day anyway! if you are happily in love, then by all means, celebrate that every day, too! but don’t feel grieved or shorted or unworthy if you are not. if you don’t love yourself, then how can anyone else? besides, i feel that it is much better to be alone than to be with someone who doesn’t truly love and appreciate you.
that is, unless you’re the needy, clingy, psycho, borderline type…in which case, you’re lucky if anyone puts up with your bullshit. :p

blurry, tipsy, night brights! i know, i know..these pictures could be much clearer.. the lighting in this room is low. it is also not white light, it's a rainbow of dark jewel tones, so it's somewhat difficult to get pictures that look like they belong in this dimension.
and like i said, 'twas indeed a blurry night. :O

i love green. especially this deep blueish green. i get lost in it. i also love chartreuse. a lot. i don't know what it is about those [weird] greenish-yellowy hues that attracts my attention so much. they are just so pungent and rich. it almost hurts my eyes to look at them sometimes. i have always especially adored the mixture of chartreuse/yellow with silver & pewter tones. my shoes and bag are a lovely metallic pewter color, but they appear a bit darker & somewhat pink here because they are reflecting all the colored light & things in the room.
i love that they have the power to do that.
now if only they could pay the bills & clean the house...
oh, but a girl can dream, right?
i mean, who wouldn't love a magic purse or pair of shoes?!
i like to think that all of my bags & shoes have superpowers. :p
anyway...back to reality..

i also love how versatile this multi-way crochet sweater is. i can wear it as a shawl, a dramatic cardigan, or instantly turn it into a sweater top.
a great feature for someone who changes his/her mind every 5 seconds..

this is the collection of beautiful bling i was wearing. bright & lovely pastels, shimmering rainbows & silvers...ahh!!
& a couple of cute critters too. 'cuz i love cute critters. ^^

these shoes, while cool, are pretty damn difficult to walk in. especially in tights! there's nothing to hold your heel in place & the toe box is irregular, so you can't use it to brace your foot either. my feet were sliding around ridiculously.
it was rather annoying, but after a few run-ins with some Belvedere i didn't seem to notice as much. :p

i'm wearing a fancy dress, sweater, & jewelry, but i didn't want to be too dressy so i added some funkiness to the mix with
this giant clutch bag & these groovy shoes. yeeauh!
still, gotta love dressing like this when partying with a bunch of metalheads! :D
